Orienting and Elevating Feeder (OEF)
The Orienting and Elevating Feeder (OEF) is engineered to process a broad range of round, lightweight workpieces including caps, lids and plastic discs.
The OEF retrieves parts from the hopper by means of a cleated belt. Workpieces sit on the belt cleats and travel upward through the vertical elevator section, where orientation sorting takes place.
Parts that keep their heavy side against the belt stay secured on the cleat. A cam bar and/or air jet guides the oriented workpiece out through an external side discharge chute to the downstream station.
All incorrectly oriented parts lose balance, fall off the cleats and return back into the hopper for re-feeding.
